I’m looking for a reliable pest control service to address a recurring problem. Can you explain your process and how you make sure pests don’t come back?

Our pest control service starts with a detailed inspection to find the source of the problem. We apply effective treatments based on the specific pests and seal any access points to keep them from returning. For a thorough and lasting solution, call us at (214) 234-2616, and we’ll make sure your pest issues are fully resolved.

How much does animal removal cost?

Pricing is very difficult to determine without an inspection. Every home and rodent infestation is unique. We price based on features on the home, square footage of the home, the severity of the infestation, whether you have a tight crawl space or a big open attic, landscaping around the home (determines how hard it is to get to entry points), steepness of the roof (determines how long it will take), if we have to harness in, etc. Each client receives an itemized list of everything they are being charged for and how much each item costs. Since we cannot provide accurate pricing over the phone, we offer free inspections and estimates!

What materials are used?

A: For a basic exclusion, the primary materials used are i) .10 gauge galvanized sheet metal (also known as “flashing”), ii) ½” or ¼” 19 gauge galvanized hardware cloth, and iii) clear or white silicone and / or liquid nails. We also paint all of our work to match to ensure it is cosmetically pleasing.

Do you kill the animals?

Critter Stop is a humane animal removal company. Rats and mice are the only rodents that we must use a lethal method of trapping for because of their size. Anything bigger than rats and mice (squirrels, opossums, raccoons) are removed by a one-way door. This allows them to leave but not re-enter. When larger wildlife is caught in a trap, such as during an outside live trapping, we follow local and state laws, relocating animals to a more natural environment where they can prosper.

How long does this process take?

1-3 weeks. Depending on the scope of your unique job, the exclusion process will take one full day. The crew will need access to your attic for approximately 15 minutes to set traps on the day of the exclusion. The client is not required to stay after that; the remainder of work will be done on the exterior of the home. This will be followed by 2-3 trap checks, which will take 15-20 minutes each. Typically, the rodent problem is solved in the first week. The next week 1-2 weeks are so we can ensure the animals are not attempting re-entry and / or damaging any other parts of the home. If you need a full attic restoration, this will take an additional two to three days – one to two day(s) for removal of insulation and another for blow-in of insulation.

Who does the exclusion and full restoration work?

Critter Stop only hires and allows full-time, salaried employees to work in client’s homes. Every employee undergoes a full criminal background check and undergoes a 6-week training process with the operations manager. The technician shadows the operations manager and learns various tasks prior to working with any crew or being left alone on any job site.

We have had exclusions done on our home before; what makes yours different?

We seal off both current and potential future entry points. Critters are very persistent, so if we only seal the current holes they are using to get in, they will just create new ones in or around one of the many weak points around your home. Most importantly, we put our money where our mouth is and back your home with an industry-leading lifetime guarantee that states if a rodent of any kind ever re-enters your home through faulty work done by Critter Stop or a newly created hole, you are 100% percent covered.

I’ve noticed wild animals getting too close to my home, and I’m worried they might cause damage. How does your wildlife removal service work, and is it humane?

Critter Stop’s wildlife removal service is designed to address your concerns effectively and humanely. First, our team conducts a thorough inspection to identify the type of animal, its entry points, and any damage or potential risks. Using humane methods, we safely remove the animals without causing them harm. Once removed, we seal entry points and reinforce weak areas to prevent future intrusions. If damage has occurred, we offer restoration services, including sanitization and repairs, to ensure your home is clean and secure. Our approach prioritizes the safety of both your property and the wildlife, giving you peace of mind.

Rats and other rodents have been causing trouble on my property. How does your rat and rodent control service work, and how effective is it?

Critter Stop’s rat and rodent control service addresses infestations thoroughly and ensures your property remains protected. First, we assess the situation by identifying where rodents are entering and nesting. We then remove the rodents using humane and effective techniques. What sets our service apart is the attention to detail in exclusion work—sealing all possible entry points and fortifying your home against future invasions. Additionally, we clean and restore any areas impacted by the rodents to eliminate odors and contamination. I think squirrels are causing damage in my attic. How can your squirrel exterminator service help, and what makes it effective?

If squirrels are causing trouble in your attic, we’ll safely remove them and secure your home to keep them out for good. Our service is effective because we don’t just handle the problem—we prevent it from happening again by sealing entry points and fixing any damage they’ve caused.
